Good morning, The Woodlands.
Somewhere in a rehearsal room at LSC-Montgomery, a cast and crew worked on a play called California until a national organization decided it was some of the best collegiate theatre work in the region. That's how it usually goes: the recognition finds the work, not the other way around. In today's Business Spotlight, Taliah Williamson runs a med spa on the same principle. She calls it the mapping, and it starts long before any treatment begins. On a lighter note, Wingstop reopens today on The Woodlands Parkway with a fresh renovation. We suspect you already know what you're ordering.
Glad you’re here,
—Erika & Mike

Wingstop Brings Its Remodeled Restaurant Back to The Woodlands Parkway
The Wingstop at 6777 Woodlands Pkwy, Suite 324, is celebrating a grand reopening this Saturday, October 24, following a full renovation of the space. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. and stay open through 7 p.m., with giveaways and activities throughout the day.
The menu offers 12 flavors, including OG Hot, Hot Honey Rub, Mango Habanero, and Lemon Pepper, served on classic or boneless wings, tenders, or chicken sandwiches. Signature sides include fries, hand-cut veggies, and ranch made fresh in-house daily.
Orders can be placed for dine-in, carryout, or delivery through Wingstop.com or the Wingstop app.
Why it matters: a freshly remodeled location opening on a Saturday is a pretty good excuse for wings.

LSC-Montgomery Earns National Theatre Honor for California
Lone Star College-Montgomery has received a Meritorious Achievement award from the American College Theatre Festival for its production of California, a full-length play by Trish Harnetiaux. The ACTF is a national program involving roughly 18,000 students from colleges and universities each year.
The production earned individual honors for Avorie Smith in stage management, Isaiah Brooks in sound design, and Chase Waites in directing. Three students, William Sinclari, Aiyana Renner, and Lyndi Cotton, were nominated for the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship, which supports outstanding student performers seeking further education.
California has also been selected as a candidate for the ACTF Region 6 Festival in February, placing it among the top collegiate theatre productions in the region.
"I am so proud of the entire cast and crew whose tireless efforts made this performance a rousing success," said Chase Waites, LSC-Montgomery's Department Chair of Theatre, Art, Humanities and Visual Communication.
Why it matters: community college students from Montgomery County just earned recognition on a national stage. The kind of news that doesn't travel far if nobody tells it.

The Med Spa That Maps Your Face Before It Touches It
Taliah Williamson opened Tula Tu Aesthetics in The Woodlands with a philosophy borrowed from a Zulu lullaby: hush. The name means quiet, and that is essentially her standard for results. Nobody should be able to tell anything was done.
Before any treatment, Williamson runs what she calls "the mapping," a one-on-one consultation that studies a client's face at rest and in motion, taking in muscle strength, skin quality, symmetry, and how that person ages. Every plan is built from there. "Sometimes the answer is skincare, not a syringe," she says. "Two women can both come in about their 11s and walk out with completely different plans because they have completely different faces."
Services include neurotoxins such as Xeomin and Daxxify, soft fillers, SkinVive and skin boosters, microneedling, and the VI Peel. Most clients arrive with some version of the same concern: "I look tired, and I'm not tired." Williamson built the practice around a smaller client load on purpose. She would rather take more time at the start to get the plan right than schedule more appointments to fix what a rushed first visit missed.
Why it matters: a med spa built around slowing down to actually understand the person in the chair is a different kind of practice. Worth knowing it exists here in The Woodlands.

🌳 Woodlands Trivia
Creekside Park, the ninth and final residential village in The Woodlands, opened in October 2007, on the 33rd anniversary of the community's founding. George Mitchell, then 88 years old, lived to see his original plan of nine villages completed.
